i am perpetually confused by the designations. My riding pants are most definitely Ultra II. The hand is hard and harsh and not at all stretchy. The jacket is a much softer hand and is stretchy. The yellow is very bright. You can't miss it. I'm not sure the distinction between high viz vs. bright. Having owned both Ultra II and Stretch jackets, I can say for a fact I prefer the Stretch fabric.

If you've never worn this gear, be advised it's really heavy. I have the latest greatest armor in my jacket at it's nearly 12 lbs all up. Same with the pants. I don't notice it when I'm on the bike but walking around is something else. I have the 3/4 length jacket which is great for touring. I wear a leather jacket for shorter distances, on the track (full leathers then), and if I know the weather. I have considered buying a waist length jacket from Wayne but I already own too many jackets as it is! I hope that helps.

Can you clarify something. The title of this is Ultra II Air Mesh, but the photos of the Hi-Viz look more like the Stretch Kevlar than the Mesh.

I'm just curious because according to Wayne, the Stretch does not come in a true "Hi-Viz" but rather a "Bright Yellow" and your photo looks pretty much like a Hi-Viz Stretch Ultra II (Not the mesh)

I just was at Wayne's shop today to order my Ultra II AirMesh jacket. I had read reports about how gracious he was in giving time and a tour around the place. I didn't ask, and wasn't expecting. But sure enough...he walked in (I was all alone, so it wasn't even a multiple sale potential). He spent the next hour telling me what I'm sure he's told hundreds of people before. But it was all new to me, and obviously still interesting to him. I left a Cycleport "groupie"... :)
