Looking at your various levels of mechanicmanship, reminds me of Bob Goude from Brockport who built Formula V race engines.  He built nationally competitive, legal, race engines, which is going some.  Anyway I was wrenching for somebody at the Glen one time and Bob was there in some sort of support function, he strolled over to where the car was wearing a pair of khakis, a madras shirt and a windbreaker.  He had a pair of pliers and a screwdriver in his hand.  I scoffed, thinking what kind of engine guy is this? But he was right, the engine ran flawlessly, Bob stood there and watched and listened to it but I don&#039;t think he ever actually touched the car.  If I remember correctly the car finished second, and I realized something about how races are won or lost before you ever even get to the track.</description>
