Yamaha FJR1300

January 21st, 2008 · No Comments

This is my 2006 Yamaha FJR1300. I’ve owned the bike since new. I’ve done the following modifications to it.

Rich’s custom saddle: Stock seat is flat as a board and about as comfortable.
Alaska Leather sheepskin butt pad: Just makes the seat that much better.
Cal Sci windscreen: Dramatically reduces turbulence.
Hyperpro front springs
Hyperpro rear shock (three way adjustable): Much more precise control and adjustment of the back-end.
Madco Rider throttle lock: Doesn’t fit all bikes. If it fits yours, it’s the best throttle lock going.
Ergo throttle tube: Smooths out the famously snatchy FJR throttle.
Superbrace: Probably not necessary on the FJR, but whatever.
Motorcycle Larry riser plate: Moves the bars up and back. Makes a huge difference.
V-Strom hand guards
Givi Topcase
Valentine 1 radar detector: It doesn’t make you invisible, but it will save you some tickets.
Garmin Zumo 550: Best motorcycle GPS. One of the best GPS units period.
